The Advisory Council members crafted the 5th Home Improvement eRetailer Summit’s agenda with an emphasis of building in time for questions, social and in-depth interaction among all attendees and speakers. The Summit, unlike many other industry events, is less formal, encourages participation, and helps to facilitate a more in the moment environment.
Council member Mike Hargrave, senior merchant at the discount appliance retailer Goedeker’s, thinks the Summit’s scale—it limits attendees to under 100 people—is what sets it apart and creates this environment. “Presentations are welcoming and interactive; you’re not in the back of a giant auditorium [just] listening.”
The friendly atmosphere combined with the openness to share allows each attendee to walk away with a larger network of meaningful connections; and, takeaway learnings that can be immediately applied to their ecommerce businesses.
