Before then, he was with Goliath Falls Inc. from 2000. Earlier, he held merchandising positions at Sears Holdings from 1987.

Chris is the founder and General Manager of Organize-It LLC. In 1996 Chris was working in the banking industry and after giving up on his entrepreneurial dreams he enrolled in a MBA program at Oakland University. He was so committed to the MBA that he started with an elective class because all the core classes were on his basketball nights. About that same time he finally got a good idea for a business to start. In early 1997 Chris went to the Housewares Show and got set up with a closet vendor and started installing closets on weekends. The goal was always to open a store to compliment the closet business. In 1999 Chris got a little seed money from friends and family, took a big pay cut and opened a 2400 square foot store in Rochester Hills, Michigan. In 2007 Organize-It moved its internet operations to a 25,600 square foot warehouse not far from the existing retail store.That MBA elective course happened to be a Web Development class and the final project for the class was the genesis of www.organizeit.com.
